What amuses me about the Pope's remarks concerning Islam is that he conveniently ignores Christianity's own barbarous past. I don't want to offend any fundamentalist by mentioning C r u s a d e s but they were not just outings in the park. Embrace Christianity or The Sword was a powerful missionary principle.
